Curling Party

Oh yes, you heard right. I had a “Curling Party” for some of my girlfriends last week. After discussing hair secrets with the girls one day, I admitted that one of my favorite tools was an old one—my Mary Kate & Ashley curling iron with a heated spiral. I think I purchased it from Wal-Mart when I was a junior in high school. And, I think it probably costs somewhere around $10. Oh yeah. Thank you, 2001.

The talk started out as a sort-of joke, and we decided later that we should really have a training session with the MK & Ashley iron; thus I had a few girls over for a small dinner party followed by a curling party. I luckily had two irons (thanks, sis), and we plugged them up and turned up the tunes. In a matter of minutes, everyone had flowing flocks. One of my friends even bought one on e-baby that night.

The invite.

Thanks, Mary Kate and Ashley. You may not be very deep actors, but “back in the day” you created really fun and cheap products. My iron is still going strong, and it made for a fun and random party…and luscious curls, of course.
