The Book of Eli

Okay, I’m not going to say much, but I will tell you that this movie really rocks. It has everything needed to be declared “a great movie.”

It takes place in post-apocalyptic America and is the journey of a man traveling alone with a sacred book that will save mankind.

What merits this as a strong movie (in my opinion):

1. Denzel Washington—enough said.

2. The journey.

3. Strong plot.

4. A goal to be obtained.

5. Depth in the characters, story line, and ironic meanings.

6. Stunning film photography.

7. Brilliant ending/twist.

8. Well cast—Denzel, Gary Oldman, Mila Kunis.

9. Although it’s fictitious, some of the themes and information presented couldn’t be more full of truth.

10. Hope.

I didn’t hear tons about this movie, and I was pleasantly surprised, entertained, and a little shocked. I give it two thumbs up. Get it a whirl, and let me know what you think.
