I haven’t gotten to post lately.
Don’t fret. There’s a good reason for this…
Jonathan asked me to be his wife on October 16, at my favorite place in the world—my family’s farm, down by the pond. It was truly the most beautiful proposal I could have ever imagined, and I’m so blessed to be his girl. I’ll tell you the story if you ask me in person. :)
So…I haven’t been blogging much lately, because we’ve been planning the wedding…which is now only 93 days away!!
There are so many things to think about, so many details, so many contracts to sign. But, those things are just small things, and their importance pales in comparison to the commitment that we are going to make to God and to each other. The ambience might be perfect, the music might be moving, but the groom at the end of the aisle and the covenant love that we are entering into is my goal, and I pray that my eyes would be fixed on Him and His glory.
I’ll keep you posted on the details…if we don’t elope and run away to Hawaii in the mean time (it’s been a thought). :)
I have to give a shout-out to Al Green. When I was thinking of a title for this post, I could only think of his song, “Love and Happiness.” Great song, by the way.
