I’m reposting some pictures today in remembrance of a very special man—our “Ralphie.” He was my grandfather, my Gran’s love, and a brilliant man among many other things. He was strong and witty; he loved goodness and truth. I miss him already. But, I am thankful today that he is not suffering and that he is with his Creator in a new body, free from pain and full of joy.
He was a good and honest man, and I praise God for giving me such sweet years with him—for all of the lessons, stories, laughter, and milkshakes (he really made the best chocolate milkshakes you’ve ever tasted). He was a supporter of everything we did and always had a smile and a hug ready to give.
He was patient and kind, and he made me more aware of everything that was going on in the world each time I saw him. We loved to look through Time magazine together and talk about the world’s injustices and how we could solve them. I’m so grateful for the time with him throughout the years.
Ralphie, you are loved and always will be. Heaven has gained greatly.
